Best Practice Guidelines to Maximise the Lifespan of your Fabric Cover
Best practice cleaning guidelines to maximise the lifespan of fabric covers, using the "Protect, Rinse & Dry" process.
Over time, if chlorine disinfectants are not properly wiped and rinsed off the fabric surface, chalky residues may start to appear.
Each time the fabric is cleaned, follow the best practice guidelines and the process of "Protect, Rinse & Dry".
Protect - Disinfectant clean
Rinse - Fresh water rinse to remove remaining chemicals and potentially adverse reactions through over exposure
Dry - Pat dry
Over exposure can mean ongoing chemical reactions can occur which will reduce the lifespan of the cover.
Apply the disinfectant and allow it the manufacturer's recommended contact time, then rinse and pat dry. This will eliminate the chalky residue and maximise the life span of the cover.
For more information, visit the BHTA website for the complete guidelines.
